Young people take action in Peru

As world leaders gather in Germany, young people raise their voices in the Amazon region

Young people gathered in Moyobamba to take action, In the lead up to the UN's Climate talks in November.

Young people in Peru are driving the campaign in their country. Recently they gathered in Moyobamba, a city in the Amazon region of Peru, as part of Renew our World’s 40 days of action leading up to the UN’s climate talks next month.

When they met, the young people spoke with church and civil society leaders about the impact climate change is having in Peru.

The civil society organizations were supportive of the campaign and agreed governments around the world need to take action to reduce the impacts of climate change.

They’re also preparing activities in Lima as a follow up in the coming days!

Stand with our brothers and sisters in Peru by signing our shared letter asking world leaders to turn promises into action at the Climate Talks next month.
