Making a World of Difference Launch at COP28

We're launching our new book at COP28, 10.30-11.30am Monday 11 December

The Faith Pavilion at COP28 hosts an event 'Exploring Religious Resistance to Climate Action' and you can watch it live here from anywhere in the world.

There's a great line-up of speakers - Ugandan activist Vanessa Nakate who founded the Rise Up Movement, the Archbishop of Panama Julio Murray, James Sternlicht from the Peace Department in the US, and Brian Webb from the US, Coordinator of the Christian Climate Observers Program; moderated by our own Jessica Bwali, from Zambia.

Or if you can't make it at 10.30am in Dubai, it will be recorded and will be available after COP.

Making a World of Difference

We're launching our new book, Making a World of Difference, at this event. Rev'd Dr Dave Bookless is speaking to launch the book at the close of the event, very appropriately as the book gives church leaders and church members a short biblical understanding of the climate and nature crises our world faces, so they're ready to act. It's short, accessible, and has thoughtful study questions and some great stories of how churches are responding.

Dave is Director of Theology at A Rocha International, Catalyst for Creation Care for the Lausanne Movement, and a Renew our World Board Member. He is the lead author, with ideas, contributions and stories from many others from around our movement on each inhabited continent.

You can download the book for free here - please read it and decide who to share it with!

Translations are coming early in 2024, starting with Croat, French, Laos, Portuguese, Spanish and Thai, with more on the way.
